FMCG & Wholesale Distribution
Load once and drop all day, hit the DC booking window, and move pallets between states without paying dedicated-truck money for nine pallets. Multi-drop run work, express and general linehaul, and proof of delivery your customer service team can actually see.
Where wholesale distribution costs get away from you
Fast-moving goods are a volume game with thin margins, so freight failures show up as money rather than drama: a missed DC slot, a drop that took forty minutes instead of ten, nine pallets moved at a full-truck rate. These are the six that matter most.
One load, a dozen delivery points
Wholesale freight is rarely point-to-point. A truck loads once and then works all day through independents, franchise stores or hospitality customers — and every extra minute at a drop compounds down the run.
The DC window closes whether you arrive or not
Miss a booking slot at a distribution centre and the pallets come home. The truck has to be loaded, in the queue and checked in on time, which means working backwards from the window when the collection is planned.
Small stores have no dock and no forklift
Corner stores, cafés, pharmacies and suburban retail take delivery at a kerb or through a back door. Tail lifts, trolleys and drivers who will do a hand unload keep those drops viable.
Interstate pallets fall between two services
Too few pallets for a dedicated truck, too many to send as parcels. That gap is exactly what express and general pallet linehaul is for — and the price difference between the two is worth understanding.
Your customer rings you, not the carrier
When a delivery is running late the call lands on your customer service desk. Without live milestones and proof of delivery in front of them, your team is relaying guesses.
Promotions and seasons spike without warning
A catalogue week or a hot spell can double volume for a fortnight. Access to vans through to B-doubles across five branches means the peak does not force you into a second carrier.
The DSE services that fit a distribution operation
Most wholesalers run daily metro run work with us and use linehaul for the interstate orders, so the same team sees both halves of the week.
Parcel Trucks
Run work — load up at one point for multiple deliveries — plus PUD trucks supplied to work at your direction, and dedicated parcel trucks with real-time GPS so you can see the run progress.

Multiple trucks delivering to multiple locations, planned as one job. The right load packed onto the right vehicles is what keeps a large distribution week from becoming expensive.
Learn more →Linehaul & Interstate
Express and general pallet services between capitals, dedicated linehaul once you pass ten pallets, plus consolidated options into regional and country areas through trusted transport partners.

For a standing distribution arrangement — dedicated vehicles, agreed run sheets and processes built around your order cut-offs rather than ours.

Parcel vans & pantechs
1–2T vans (1–3 pallets), 1–6T pans (3–10 pallets)
The classic multi-drop vehicle for city and suburban run work, small enough for a kerbside delivery.
Medium & heavy rigids
4–14T, 6–16 pallets
Larger store deliveries and DC drops, with tail lift options where the receiver has no forklift.
Tautliners
Semi & B-double
Curtain-side loading, strong freight security and the highest strength-to-weight pallet ratio — 22–24 pallets on a semi, up to 34 on a B-double.
Crane trucks
8T to semi
For the bulky, palletised or over-length lines a wholesale range always seems to include.

Can one truck deliver to multiple stores in a day?
Yes — that is exactly what we call run work: parcel trucks that load up at one point and complete multiple deliveries. We also supply PUD (pick-up and deliver) trucks that work at your direction for the day, so the run can change as your orders do.
Can DSE work in with our delivery time slot at a distribution centre?
Yes. Give us all the information at booking and we will help you work out the best time to have the driver collect your freight so that we make the booking slot.
How do we track deliveries and get proof of delivery?
Our dedicated trucks carry real-time GPS, and every customer gets access to the myDSE portal. In there you can see past and future jobs, make new bookings, and view electronic runsheets, related photos, paperwork, your rates, invoices and statements. The runsheet is also updated with live milestones as the run progresses.
What are the transit times for interstate pallets?
For 1 to 9 pallets it depends on the service you choose. Express is made priority and will be delivered the following business day ex Sydney to Melbourne or Brisbane, at about 20% more. General service has your pallet arriving in 2 to 3 days on the same lanes. For 10 pallets or more we run a dedicated linehaul delivery, which is next business day. Full transit times are provided on booking.
Does DSE offer pallet rates?
For interstate and country movements, yes. For metropolitan deliveries we do not currently offer pallet rates for casual pallets, although we do have some contracts with special arrangements — worth a conversation if your metro volume is regular.
When do next-day bookings close?
For local freight there is no cut-off. DSE Transport does not consolidate local freight — our core delivery is dedicated hire, so once we collect your freight we deliver it direct. That means you can book your transport requirements as required, with no time closures.
Why is a fuel levy charged?
Fuel is a considerable portion of the total cost of providing a road transport service. DSE Transport uses the Australian Institute of Petroleum indexes when calculating the fuel levy, so it moves with a published benchmark rather than at our discretion.
