Cookies Policy
The cookies we use on this website, what each one does, and how to change your choice.
Last updated 2 October 2026
This policy applies to dsetransport.au, run by DSE Transport Pty Ltd ACN 630 466 545. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work the same way. We call them all "cookies" here. Some are needed for a site to work. Others help the owner understand how the site is used or measure advertising.
Your choice
When you first visit, a banner asks about analytics and advertising cookies. We don't set advertising cookies until you choose Accept all. If you are visiting from Australia, analytics cookies are on from your first page; anywhere else, they also wait for Accept all. If you choose Essential only, we set neither, and analytics is switched off.
You can change your mind at any time:
Google's tags still load before you choose, but in a limited mode (Google Consent Mode): for anything you haven't allowed they don't read or store cookies and send Google only basic, cookieless signals, such as that a page was viewed. The AdRoll and Meta tags don't load at all until you accept.
The cookies we use
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential: always on | |||
dse_cookie_consent | DSE (local storage) | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask on every page. | 12 months |
| Analytics: on for visitors in Australia unless you choose Essential only; elsewhere only if you accept | |||
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart so we can count visitors and see which pages are useful. | 2 years |
_ga_T1F1TC057T | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit. | 2 years |
| Advertising: only if you accept | |||
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Connects an ad click to a quote or contact request, so we can see which ads work. | 90 days |
Google advertising cookies (for example IDE) | Google, on its own domains | Measure our ads and may show you DSE ads on other websites. | Up to 13 months |
__adroll_fpc, __ar_v4 | AdRoll | Recognise your browser so AdRoll can show you DSE ads on other websites and count which ads led to an enquiry. | 12 months |
AdRoll advertising cookies (for example __adroll) | AdRoll (NextRoll), on its own domains | May show you DSE ads on other websites after you visit ours. | Up to 13 months |
_fbp | Meta (Facebook and Instagram) | Recognise your browser so Meta can show you DSE ads on Facebook and Instagram after you visit ours, and count which ads led to an enquiry. | 3 months |
Google Tag Manager, which loads these tags, doesn't set cookies itself. Our fonts are served from this website rather than from Google, so no third party sees your visit simply because a page needed a typeface.
Other websites we link to
The online quote tool and the myDSE customer portal run on our transport management system at despatchai.io. They use their own essential cookies, for example to keep you logged in. If you chose Accept all here and then open the online quote tool from this website, the same Google and AdRoll tags listed above also run on the quote page, so we can tell when a quote was completed. If you chose Essential only, or you open the quote tool directly, they don't. Social media sites we link to set their own cookies under their own policies.
Controlling cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential ones means we'll ask for your cookie choice again on each visit.
To opt out of Google Analytics on every website, use Google's opt-out browser add-on. To manage personalised ads from Google, visit My Ad Center.
